We have been using our iTero intraoral scanner for quite a while now, but perhaps not really utilised the scanner to its full potential. Time for a refresher course as well as a training session to learn new tips and tricks!

Enter Ash and Beki from Invisalign/Align Technology.

Dr Pang and our dental therapists, Amanda and Kylie, had a scanner training session with Ash and Beki on the 9th of November 2023. Our clinic was closed while the session was running. Dr Joshua joined us, he is a newly graduated general dentist, and he was thrilled to get the opportunity to learn with the group.

The session focused on refining scanning skills, and how to get accurate and comprehensive records quickly and smoothly. It is always important to make the procedure easy and comfortable for our patients, without sacrificing the finer details.

Everyone had a go on the scanner under guidance from Ash. This was followed by a question-and-answer period, and general discussion, to help us learn more about the software that comes with the scanner. The session was fairly informal, but very informative and lots of fun. It is always good to keep up to date with new advancements and consolidate existing skills. Thank you Ash and Beki!
