Dr Kim Pang did his dental undergraduate degree in Newcastle, UK. He worked as a general dentist for a few years before he was accepted to do his orthodontic specialist training at the Eastman Dental Institute and Hospital in London. He graduated with a Master of Science in Orthodontics. He also studied and received a Diploma in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of England, a Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and a Membership in Dento-Facial Orthopaedics from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow.
Dr Pang worked in private practice in London before moving to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia where he set up a successful private orthodontic practice. During his time in Malaysia, Dr Pang was also a consultant and lecturer at the dental school at the University of Malaya.
He moved to Perth in 1999 with his young family and proceeded to work in Hillarys and Fremantle for a year. Dr Pang took over the practice at Whitford City Orthodontics in 2000 and has expanded and settled the practice in its new premises. He set up Currambine Orthodontics in 2016 to cater for the growing population north of Perth.
Dr Pang is Senior Clinical Tutor of Orthodontics at the University of Western Australia. He supervises postgraduate orthodontic students in their clinical work once a fortnight, allowing him to share his passion for improving the quality of care provided to patients in Western Australia.
Dr Pang is an Invisalign accredited Provider (Specialist Orthodontist).
Dr Pang is also a member of several dental associations, including the ADA (Australian Dental Association), ASO (Australian Society of Orthodontists), and DSSWA (Dental Specialists Society of Western Australia).
